AI Tools Could Cut Game Development Costs by Half, Adding $22B in Annual Industry Profit: Morgan Stanley

Gate News message, April 23 — Morgan Stanley estimates that AI tools could reduce video game development costs by nearly half and generate approximately US$22 billion in additional annual profit across the global gaming industry. The bank projects global gaming spending will reach US$275 billion in 2026, with about US$55 billion reinvested in development and operations. Lower development costs could reduce the industry's reliance on frequent new releases and enable publishers to sustain existing franchises with steady content updates. The gains are expected to be uneven across the industry. Companies like Tencent, Sony, and Ubisoft are better positioned to benefit due to their distribution networks, proprietary data, and strong player relationships. In contrast, studios such as Playtika and Netmarble, which lack strong core intellectual property, may face increased pressure as AI makes mid-tier game production more accessible. A separate Morgan Stanley analysis suggests cost savings for AAA publishers could be closer to 15%, while Take-Two's CEO noted that AI building a game from scratch is "laughable." The shift may also reshape staffing, with increased demand for senior software engineers and game development leads to oversee larger project portfolios, though a broad drop in developer jobs is not expected.

Cambricon Expresses Optimism on 10 Billion Yuan Revenue Target Amid AI Chip Demand Surge

Gate News message, April 22 — Cambricon, a Chinese AI chip designer, held its 2025 annual earnings briefing today, with Chairman and CEO Chen Tianshi and Board Secretary Ye Haoyin addressing investor concerns on domestic AI chip competition, customer composition shifts, inventory growth, and pending litigation involving former executives. When asked whether the company has a chance to achieve 10 billion yuan in revenue this year, Chen Tianshi did not provide specific guidance but expressed optimism on industry trends. He noted that accelerating large language model innovation is driving sustained growth in intelligent computing demand, and that Cambricon has already secured recognition from industry customers. Regarding supply chain risks for advanced domestic chip manufacturing capacity, Chen emphasized that Cambricon's core technologies are developed independently and protected by proprietary intellectual property. To mitigate risks, the company plans to leverage industrial policies and maintain long-term, broad, and cooperative relationships with upstream and downstream partners while preparing contingency measures to ensure business continuity.

The blockchain industry is entering a stage of multi-track parallel explosion. AI, Meme, RWA, DeFi, GameFi, Web3 infrastructure, and other sectors continue to iterate, driving the industry’s accelerated evolution. Against this backdrop, new narratives and experiments keep emerging, and Andy aiagent’s TGE happens to land at this critical time, making it worth the industry’s close attention. ### Global Track: Hotspots and Trends #### AI Track: The Fastest-Growing Direction AI has already become one of the hottest areas in the blockchain ecosystem, accounting for more than 25%. Whether it’s AI-specific Layer1 blockchains or DeAI (DeFi Agent) and AI infrastructure, they continue to attract capital and users. #### Layer1 & Layer2: The Long-Term Battlefield of Infrastructure High-performance public chains are constantly emerging. Layer2’s OP route TVL is seeing significant growth, while ZK-based solutions are a bit sluggish. Overall, funding is trending toward verticalization, focusing on specific application scenarios. #### Meme Track: The Power of Community Consensus In 2024, the Meme track has erupted multiple times. Projects such as Useless and Bonk briefly ignited market caps in the short term. Despite high volatility, Meme coins once again prove the unique logic of “community-driven” dynamics. #### RWA: Accelerating Tokenization of Real-World Assets Top institutions such as BlackRock, Paxos, and Tether are pushing RWA issuance volumes to break through the multi-billion-dollar mark. Tokenization brings liquidity, transparency, and new investment channels, becoming a bridge between Web3 and traditional finance. #### DeFi & Lending: Still Taking Up Half the Market DeFi accounts for nearly half of financing events, with acceptance reaching as high as 88%, and DeFi lending also exceeding 80%. In the short term, its position remains difficult to shake. #### GameFi and SocialFi: Scale Expansion Lightweight games and social products attract a large number of users. Although there are no breakout “star” projects, this shows that user scale is still the core competitive advantage of this kind of track. #### Web3 Infrastructure and Privacy: Two Hot Spots at Once Infrastructure popularity reaches 98%, and privacy protection also hits 97%. Data security and verifiable computing are becoming key breakthrough points in the process of blockchain compliance. ### Andy: When Trendy Toys Meet Web3 In this resonance across tracks, Andy proposes a unique attempt: * Starting from traditional MMPT “emotional culture IP”: bring more original, soulful art works on-chain; * DAO governance: enable a warm community to co-govern, turning love into real-time on-chain active weights; * On-chain trendy toy mechanisms: every interaction, creation, and sharing can be accumulated into digital rights; * Sustainable expansion Web3 products: continuously incubate the next generation of native on-chain art IP through Contribution Activity Proof (POCAV) and an IP voting system. Andy is not a short-term “speculative Meme,” but instead seeks to combine trendy toys with on-chain mechanisms. Beyond emotional consensus, it aims to give MemeFi a more vibrant product form. ### Tonight at 10 PM: TGE Sets Sail Andy will officially launch its TGE tonight at 10 PM (Beijing time). This is not only a critical moment for the project’s development, but also offers three takeaways for the industry: • For the industry: This is an experiment of emotional culture IP × on-chain mechanisms, testing whether MemeFi can evolve from narrative to being mechanism-driven. • For the community: Your passion is no longer intangible—it will be mapped in real time into rights and value, and you can truly participate in the platform’s growth. • For the future: The combination of Meme, AI, art, and DeFi may give rise to a new Web3 product ecosystem. ### Closing Remarks When trendy toys meet Web3, emotional IP has played a brand-new on-chain way of doing things. With contribution value as the core and community co-governance as the foundation, Andy tries to turn “love” into “assets,” making real sustained expansion possible for Web3 products. Tonight at 10 PM, Andy’s platform TGE officially sets sail—let’s witness the starting point of a new on-chain trendy toy ecosystem.
