PANews September 26 news, according to The Block report, U.S. SEC Chairman Paul Atkins stated at a Georgetown University conference that the SEC will investigate and enforce laws regarding conflicts of interest in the encryption industry. Atkins mentioned that if conflicts of interest are found, standards will be established and addressed. Regarding the Trump family's involvement in the encryption project World Liberty Financial (WLF) and related transactions, Atkins stated that he could not comment on specific companies or products, but emphasized that the SEC has a responsibility to act according to existing regulations. In addition, Atkins is promoting “innovation exemptions” and “Project Crypto” to improve digital asset regulatory rules.
