The recent movement in the crypto market signals a significant shift in the altcoin sector, which has been under pressure for a long time. As Bitcoin stabilizes within a certain range and begins to show signs of recovery, risk appetite has started to flow back into altcoins. Such periods are often referred to as a “delayed reaction rally,” and the current market structure reflects this dynamic quite clearly.
In particular, ORDI’s approximately 190% surge in the past 24 hours indicates not only a technical breakout but also a psychological shift in the market. The sharp rise of Bitcoin ecosystem-related assets like ORDI shows that investors are once again gravitating toward high-risk, high-reward opportunities. This move should not be evaluated in isolation, as these types of leading asset surges often trigger a broader altcoin rally.
The gains of over 40% in SATS, NEIRO, and AXL further support this thesis. The key factor to watch here is the return of liquidity. After a prolonged period of low volume and weak momentum, the market is beginning to regain depth. This not only drives price increases but also strengthens the potential for a more sustainable trend.
However, the critical question remains: Is this a strong rebound from the bottom, or a final trap before the main uptrend?
At this stage, the market can be interpreted through two main scenarios. The first scenario suggests that if Bitcoin maintains its stability and macro conditions (such as interest rate expectations, ETF inflows, and global risk appetite) remain supportive, a medium-term uptrend in altcoins could emerge. In this case, projects with strong narratives and high trading volumes are likely to lead the market.
The second scenario is that this rally could be a short-term “liquidity trap.” In other words, large players may be creating temporary momentum to attract retail investors before triggering a sharp correction. Sudden pullbacks in rapidly rising assets would strengthen this possibility.
As for my personal strategy, in such uncertain conditions, I prefer a gradual approach rather than going all-in. Allocating a small portion of the portfolio to high-volatility altcoins while keeping the majority in cash or more stable assets provides a healthier risk management framework, especially since the market has not yet confirmed a clear trend.
I have partially participated in this upward move, but I have avoided opening aggressive all-in positions. By analyzing both volume expansion and price structure, I focus on short-term trading opportunities. Profit-taking is just as important as entry timing, so locking in gains on rapidly rising assets is crucial.
In terms of other coins to watch, several categories stand out. First, assets linked to the Bitcoin ecosystem particularly inscriptions and layer solutions are currently attracting strong interest. In addition, AI-focused projects and those built around the real-world assets (RWA) narrative are promising candidates in the medium term. Furthermore, low market cap projects that are just beginning to gain liquidity may offer high return potential, although they come with significantly higher risk.
As for the market’s next move, my expectation is that volatility will remain high in the short term. Sharp corrections following rapid price increases should not be surprising. However, if Bitcoin manages to hold its current levels and continues its upward attempts, a broader and more sustainable altcoin rally could follow.
In summary, the market currently offers both opportunity and risk. Therefore, investors who act with discipline and a well defined strategy rather than emotion are more likely to succeed in this environment. The most critical point is to avoid committing to a single scenario and instead position oneself by considering multiple possibilities.
