As a futures trader.

1. Once u make a decent profit, withdraw the funds and leave your capital - it provides clarity, resets your brain to start again and creates hunger!
But most importantly...
2. Don't trade immediately or try to re-enter the trade, at least wait for another trading session - this provides balance and allows u see how the market reacted to the move that made you the profit in number 1 above.
