Every mining network asks you to choose: mine or do something useful; secure the chain or contribute to a larger project.
Qubic has simply stopped asking questions.
As of today, April 1, 2026, Dogecoin mining is operational on the Qubic network. And no, this is not just a simple modification of the old merged mining system.
Here’s what has actually changed:
Dogecoin now runs on Scrypt ASIC chips. Qubic’s AI training is performed on CPUs and GPUs. Different hardware. Different tasks. No overlap. This means both workflows now operate at full capacity simultaneously, without time-sharing, cycle sharing, or compromises between them.
The old model allocated half of the network resources to miners, split between Monero hashing and AI training. This model is now being phased out. ASICs mine Dogecoin 24/7 while CPUs and GPUs continuously train Aigarth. The network has thus doubled its effective throughput overnight.
Three elements set this apart from anything currently in the cryptocurrency world:
1. Decentralized validation of shares.
Each Doge share is verified by Qubic’s Oracle Machines, independent computers that confirm its legitimacy on the blockchain. No pool operator holds the keys. This is the first large-scale external use case for Oracle Machines, and it generates real transaction volume from day one.
2. An auto-sustaining buyback loop.
Mined DOGE is sold → the proceeds are used to buy QU → the QU are distributed to computers and miners. The buyback balance is burned. External revenues flow in, reducing supply pressure.
3. Obsolete hardware, now operational again.
Your Antminer L3+ gathering dust in the back of a closet? It now has a new purpose. Old Scrypt ASICs, unprofitable on standard Doge pools, become viable within the Qubic network. The ASIC layer is purely additive: it generates new revenue without impacting existing miners’ rewards.
The transition occurs in three phases to ensure network stability. The first phase is already underway. Below, you will find detailed information on the schedule, architecture, and implications of each phase for computers and miners.

Calculation must be useful. Today, Qubic has proven it can be twice as useful: simultaneously, on different hardware, with no compromises.
