Claude Code source code suspected to have been leaked via NPM and has been uploaded to GitHub for backup
ME News update: On March 31 (UTC+8), Web3 security and analytics company FuzzLand intern researcher Chaofan Shou posted on X that the source code of Anthropic’s terminal development tool Claude Code may have been leaked through a map file in its NPM registry, and the related compressed package has been publicly downloaded. Users say someone has backed up the full code and uploaded it to a GitHub repository named “claude-code,” and shared that it contains a large number of TODO comments and hints about unreleased features. There is currently no evidence that the repository or the compressed package has been authorized by Anthropic, and Anthropic has not yet publicly responded to the alleged leak incident.
