To those who are unsure about choosing a waterproof camera. Recently, I’ve tried various models, but ultimately, what you prioritize makes a big difference. If you’re serious about diving or outdoor activities, image quality and waterproof performance are non-negotiable. The Tough TG-7 has truly high resolution and can capture natural colors both underwater and on land. It also offers excellent expandability, making it recommended for those seriously seeking an underwater camera. On the other hand, the Ricoh WG-7 is multifunctional with vivid color reproduction. It even has webcam functionality, so it’s suitable for everyday use. Nikon’s COOLPIX W300 has a more subdued color tone, appealing to those who prefer a natural look. If you choose based on your budget and purpose, I think you won’t regret any of them. Personally, if image quality is a priority, the Tough TG-7 is a good choice; if you’re looking for good value, Ricoh’s models are worth considering. The key to choosing an underwater camera is not just reading reviews but actually holding it in your hand to check button operation and grip comfort. Choosing based solely on waterproof performance can lead to regrets later.
