Choosing the right overnight pad can really be confusing, right? On the second night of your period, you might worry about leaks and end up not sleeping well... Everyone has probably experienced that. Recently, I tried 28 different types of overnight pads, and the difference in absorbency and comfort is really noticeable.
First, I was surprised by ソフィ's 超熟睡ショーツ. Since they are shorts-style, they’re easy to put on and take off, and they stay in place even if you toss and turn—that’s the best part. The absorbency is also excellent, so you can feel secure even on heavy days. However, they cost about 110 yen each, so they might be a bit pricey for daily use. Still, they provide solid protection around the hips, making them worth it for really anxious nights.
If you’re looking for cost performance, ロリエ's 朝までブロック370 is a great choice. It costs about 25 yen per piece, making it the cheapest option, yet it handles 140mL of absorption. It also covers the front, which is good for people who move around a lot in their sleep. The only downside is that it’s a bit thick, so it might feel a little bulky when worn.
For those who want to prioritize organic cotton, ソフィ's オーガニックコットンショーツ are recommended. They’re suitable even for sensitive skin, and the soft texture feels very comfortable. They’re less likely to leak sideways even on heavy days. They cost about 116 yen each, which is a bit higher, but they’re perfect for anyone looking for gentle, skin-friendly overnight pads.
Another surprisingly good option is 第一衛材's コットン100%. They’re not made of synthetic fibers, so they have a fluffy, cloth-like feel that people who love natural materials will appreciate. Their absorbency is comparable to synthetic ones, and they’re easy to put on and take off. At around 55 yen each, they’re an affordable choice among cotton materials.
Ultimately, the best choice depends on your lifestyle and skin type. Especially on heavy days, it’s important to find the product that truly suits you.
