Investors, for precautionary reasons, may face further sell-offs in risk assets before Easter.
Mars Finance news, according to reporting by JIN10, Interactive Investor analyst Richard Hunter said in a report that as some markets in Europe, Asia, and the Americas are set to enter the Easter long weekend, investors may face further selling pressure on risk assets such as stocks and corporate bonds due to precautionary considerations. He noted that traders are unlikely to hold exposure ahead of the long weekend, because they have repeatedly been caught off guard by sudden developments. In his Wednesday national address, U.S. President Trump warned that the Middle East war could escalate over the next two to three weeks, leading to a decline in market risk appetite.
