Hey, everyone was asking why there are no classes on Monday, March 9th, and the SEP and UNAM have already given the official answer. Spoiler: there are normally classes as usual. It turns out that although it is the National Day Without Us, this does not count as an official school calendar suspension, so most schools operate normally that day.
The interesting part is that UNAM clarified that although there is no general closure, women who want to participate in the movement activities can do so without academic consequences. Basically, they respect the mobilization, but classes continue as usual. The same applies to public and private schools, which is why Monday, March 9th, ends up being a regular school day, although there may be fewer people in some places.
If you're looking for when there actually are no classes in March, they are on the 16th (Benito Juárez's birthday, which is an official holiday), and on the 30th-31st when the Holy Week vacations start. Those are true days off. So, the question of why there are no classes on Monday as such has already been clarified: because it’s not an official holiday, even though the movement exists and is important.
