Oh my God, Venezuela just won the Baseball Classic championship, not only taking home the trophy but also a big cash prize. I heard this time the prize money was much higher than before, with Venezuela as the champion receiving nearly $1.18 million in total, not including the additional $100,000 bonus for each player.

The craziest part is that the reason for such a large prize pool is because Netflix signed a broadcasting deal, which directly inflated the prize pool. Venezuela finally defeated the United States 3-2, with key hits from Maikel García and Wkyer Abreu, plus Bryce Harper's home run for the U.S. The whole game was quite intense.

But I’m still a bit surprised—Venezuela winning this championship for the first time in history and getting such a big payout feels like the tournament’s prize structure has been significantly reformed. Do you think this will have a big impact on the development of baseball in Venezuela?
