Just noticed Taylor Swift's not exactly falling off the charts like everyone expected. The Life of a Showgirl is still sitting pretty at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and The Fate of Ophelia hasn't budged from the top of the Hot 100 either. Both have been holding down first place for four straight weeks now, which is honestly kind of wild for a chart landscape this competitive.
What's interesting is how she managed to debut at No. 1 on both simultaneously and just... stayed there. Apparently that's a first for anyone doing it across both major charts at the same time. The single is also dominating streaming and digital sales, though I saw it's starting to slip on the album sales ranking this week.
If this momentum keeps up, Taylor could be looking at five consecutive weeks at the top of both charts. The music industry doesn't see that kind of sustained chart dominance very often anymore. Definitely worth watching how long this runs.
