Hey, I just found out that university professors are already in full strike mode. They confirm that this upcoming teachers' strike will be quite serious because they already have a planned protest strategy for the entire semester. It’s not just an isolated week; they will be progressively striking at regular intervals.

What’s happening is that the unions (AGD-UBA, CONADU Histórica, Aduba, and others) say that teachers lost 51% of their salary between 2024 and 2025, and the government is offering only a 12% increase in installments until 2026. Obviously, that doesn’t add up for them. They demand that the University Funding Law be enforced and that the owed amounts be paid.

The March strike has already happened, but the next teachers’ strike is scheduled for April 27, and afterward, they will continue with phased measures. They are also organizing a federal march on April 23 to put pressure on the government. The thing is, if the government amends the funding law in Congress, the unions could call for immediate strikes. This looks like it’s going to be a long process.
