I just found out that Xiaomi released a Harry Potter tablet in China, and honestly, it blew my mind. This isn’t the first time they’ve done themed collaborations — they’ve made everything from Harry Potter phones to headphones and keyboards with a magical vibe. But this Redmi Pad 2 Pro they just announced looks pretty decent.
The interesting part is that it’s not just a regular skin. It features laser-engraved Hogwarts crest on the back, coordinated cases, an academic-style bag, and even a matching stylus. The screen is 12.1 inches with 2.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and quite bright (600 nits). Inside, it has a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of expandable storage, and a 12,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging. Nothing extraordinary in specs, but not bad for the price.
The thing is, as with these special Xiaomi editions, it probably will stay only in China. The price is around 200 euros based on what I saw, but if you want it in another country, you’ll have to import it. The odd part is that the software is adapted to the local market, so some features might not work the same elsewhere. Is anyone else dying to have an official Harry Potter phone or tablet in their country?
