Just saw Alex Eala's heading to the Linz Open in Austria next week to start her clay season, and honestly her trajectory is wild right now. She's up to No. 32 after that solid run at Indian Wells, and the rankings algorithm is saying she could hit No. 28 soon. The thing is, Miami's coming up first and she's got some serious points to defend from last year's final four finish. If she doesn't replicate that or go deeper, she could drop all the way back to the 50s-60s range. That's a lot of pressure for a 20-year-old. But the Linz tournament looks stacked with top players, so at least she'll get solid competition to prep for the clay swing. Curious to see if she can handle the surface transition and keep that momentum going into the French Open. Anyone else following her progress?
