Aluminum alloy inventory drops by 13,900 tons, with weak demand accelerating digestion

According to SMM data, this week’s social inventory of cast aluminum alloy decreased by 13,900 tons month-over-month, with the decline widening further compared with last week. First, the futures-spot basis widened, spot and futures traders accelerated shipments, driving faster inventory outflows. Second, overall demand was weak, competition at low prices intensified in the market, and enterprises accelerated the pace of inventory digestion by cutting prices to secure orders. (SMM)
