Recently, I've been trying out various mattress toppers and realized that they really change the sleeping experience. When I only used a futon mattress, I often woke up with back pain, but when I put a good mattress topper on, everything feels completely different.

There are many types of popular mattress toppers, ranging from soft to firm, with various levels of responsiveness. Major brands like Nitori, Nishikawa, IKEA, Iris Ohyama, and others offer quite a few options, with thicknesses around 3cm to 5cm, giving plenty of choices. Honestly, I understand how confusing it can be to decide which one to pick.

From what I've recently checked, if you prefer a softer feel, the Emliリー's gentle rebound series is great because it gently sinks into your waist and back. On the other hand, if you like a firmer feel, a type with strong responsiveness like Iris Ohyama's Airy Mattress is recommended. For low-resilience, ZINUS's green tea-infused one is good, offering antibacterial effects and easy to turn over.

If you want to try high-resilience, MyeFoam, KURUKURU, and IKEA's NISSEHOLM are quite good. Especially MyeFoam is affordable and provides solid support for your waist. However, when choosing a mattress topper, details like whether it has non-slip features, if the cover is washable, and other specifications are also important. Since compatibility with your futon varies from person to person, finding one that matches your body type and sleeping posture is the best approach.
