ETF Morning Review | A-shares surge then pull back, oil and gas sector leads the decline, S&P Oil & Gas ETF drops 4%
Gelonghui March 31 | As of midday, the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.38%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell 1.45%, the ChiNext Index fell 2.36%, and the Beijing Stock Exchange 50 fell 0.1%. The total market turnover was 1,337.5 billion yuan, up by 8.6 billion yuan from the previous trading day. CPO, lithium battery, semiconductors, computing power leasing, AI computing power, and photovoltaic-related themes all pulled back across the board. Coal, chemical, non-ferrous metals, and the power sector led the declines; financials, pharmaceuticals, and broad consumer segments rose against the trend.

Broad consumption and home appliances sector: Household Appliances ETF Bosera (159730) rose 1.37%, Consumer Leaders ETF ICBC (159520) rose 1.04%, Consumer 50 ETF FOTAR (515650) rose 0.99%, Consumer Leaders ETF Huabo (516130) rose 0.97%, directly benefiting from the broad consumer sector’s upside, against-the-trend move. Biopharmaceuticals and satellite industry sector: Biopharmaceutical ETF Add/Collect (159839) rose 1.15%, Satellite ETF Penghua (563790) rose 1.34%, Satellite ETF China Merchants (159218) rose 1.12%, tracking the active pharma and satellite navigation themes. Financial real estate sector: Financial Real Estate ETF China Southern Minsheng/UBS (159933) rose 1.00%, forming linkage with the financial sector’s green moves against the trend.
