According to Business Insider, Google is testing a new AI agent called Remy for Gemini on May 6. The agent, currently available only to employees within Google’s internal Gemini app, can take actions on behalf of users across work, learning, and daily tasks while integrating with Google’s other services. Remy is described as a 24/7 personal agent powered by Gemini that elevates the app into a true assistant capable of acting for users, not just answering questions or generating content. The agent is similar in some ways to OpenClaw, an AI agent that gained traction earlier this year for executing tasks like replying to messages and conducting research. The public launch timeline for Remy remains unclear, though Google is expected to showcase its next wave of AI products at its I/O conference later this month, where AI agents are likely to be a focus.
