China's "Data Elements ×" Initiative Accelerates Data Infrastructure Construction Across 43 Cities

According to the State Data Bureau and CCTV News, China's "Data Elements ×" initiative is accelerating data infrastructure construction and operations. The initiative's two pilot batches have covered 15 industries and 43 cities, engaging 19,000 ecosystem participants and launching 38,000 data products, with over 270 application scenarios implemented. The pilots explore six technology pathways including privacy-preserving computing, blockchain, and trusted data spaces. State Data Bureau Director Liu Liehong announced that this year's "Data Elements ×" competition will introduce a new "Data Infrastructure Track" to strengthen the coupling between infrastructure and application scenarios.
