This $ESPORTS short wasn’t the drop itself that was the most painful, but the back-and-forth hovering in the prior high area—like it was about to trick people into buying up and taking the bag. When I watched it around 0.02772 myself, I didn’t feel any more relaxed either. I was worried it would spike up a bit more and throw off my rhythm.

Later, I kept it pressured all the way down from 0.02772 to 0.01428. The screen feedback was pretty straightforward—the account showed a gain of +953.95%. Honestly, even when a short makes money, it’s not always a smooth ride. Several times in the middle, I wanted to get out early.

What I care about this time isn’t how much I can take, but whether I’ll get scared off by a rebound. In positions like this before, I often would close too early from anxiety, then end up watching it keep falling anyway, and my mindset would get even more wrecked.

For anyone still holding positions, I’ll first adjust the protection level so the profit you’ve already made doesn’t get given back. The biggest fear with a short is that you start getting carried away while it’s still in profit—then it’s not that the market won’t give you a chance, it’s that you end up losing your timing yourself.
