The hardest part when watching the chart is this: you clearly know the direction might be right, but the price just won’t give you feedback immediately. $XRP has been grinding around 1.0475 for quite a while. I wasn’t exactly calm either—I kept wanting to take profit.

Luckily, the direction didn’t get changed. When it finally broke out and moved toward 1.0696, my P&L on paper came to +195.37%. Only then did this trade manage to give back a bit of what the earlier patience cost.

After staying in crypto for long enough, you learn this: profitable trades aren’t necessarily the ones that feel comfortable. In many cases, those few in-between candles are what really torture you—specifically designed to grind. The moment you get anxious, it’s easier for it to shake you out.

When I handle trades like this now, my thinking is simple: first, take back control. You don’t have to swallow every bite. Being able to follow your own pace and keep the profit is more real than shouting how “perfect” it is.
