Claude Code source code suspected to have been leaked via NPM and has been uploaded to GitHub for backup

On March 31 (UTC+8), Web3 security and analytics firm FuzzLand intern researcher Chaofan Shou posted on X that the source code of Anthropic’s terminal development tool Claude Code appears to have been leaked via a map file from its NPM registry, and that the relevant compressed package has been publicly downloaded. Netizens say that someone has already backed up the full code and uploaded it to a GitHub repository named “claude-code”, and shared that it contains a large number of TODO comments and hints of unreleased features. There is currently no evidence showing that the repository or compressed package was authorized by Anthropic official, and Anthropic has also not yet issued any public response regarding the alleged leak.
