ByteDance sponsors OpenClaw AI videos and "Lobster Farming," leading to a surge in Doubao's large model usage.
【Caixin Net】 On the morning of April 2, OpenClaw (commonly known as “lobster”) founder Peter Steinberger appeared on the big screen at the Volcano Engine Wuhan launch event, calling on people in fluent Chinese to “eat more lobster in Wuhan.” Through this AI video generated by Seedance 2.0, Volcano Engine announced it would sponsor OpenClaw and work together to build ClawHub’s China official mirror site.
Along with OpenAI, Baidu, Tencent, and Tencent Cloud, Volcano Engine also appeared on the official sponsors list on OpenClaw’s website.
During this wave of “lobster farming” enthusiasm, Chinese cloud providers and AI model companies quickly took on the surge in demand for agent deployments. To date, they continue to roll out security solutions, develop skills (Skill), and open applications within the ecosystem. And since OpenClaw launched, it has also surpassed the star count (Star) of every GitHub open-source software project. (See “Stir-Fried ‘Lobster’”)
