Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary: Will prevent incidents like the forcible entry into the embassy from happening again

Regarding the incident on the 24th in which people forcibly breached the Chinese Embassy in Japan, Chief Cabinet Secretary Makihara Minoru of Japan said at a press conference on the 25th that Japan will, in accordance with relevant international law and domestic law, work with the relevant authorities to respond appropriately and prevent such incidents from happening again. Makihara Minoru said he was deeply regrettable that Self-Defense Forces personnel, who should have complied with the law, were arrested on suspicion of unlawful entry into a building. He said that measures have already been taken, including strengthening the number of police officers on duty around the embassy, and that, based on clarifying the relevant circumstances, Japan will move forward with its response work.
