[Personnel News] Changes in senior management at Chongqing Steel

Chongqing Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. has released an announcement. The company held the 24th meeting of the 10th session of the Board of Directors on March 30, 2026, at which it deliberated and approved the “Proposal on Changes in Senior Management Personnel.” Before this proposal was submitted to the Board of Directors for decision-making, it had already been reviewed and approved by the Nomination Committee. The specific details are announced as follows: Authorize Mr. Zhao Siqing, the company’s Executive Vice President, to act as the President. The term shall run from the date on which the Board of Directors approves this matter until the date the Board appoints a President. Appoint Mr. Li Haifeng as the company’s Executive Vice President. The term shall run from the date on which the Board of Directors approves this matter until the end date of this session of the Board of Directors.

Zhao Siqing, born in August 1980, is a senior engineer. He currently serves as the company’s Executive Vice President (in charge of affairs) and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee. Mr. Zhao previously served as Party Secretary, Executive Director, and General Manager of Chongqing Qianxin Energy and Environmental Protection Co., Ltd.; Party Branch Secretary, Chairman, and General Manager of Chongqing Qianxin New Energy Co., Ltd.; Director of the Ironmaking Plant and Executive Vice President of Chongqing Iron & Steel Co., Ltd.; Director of the Operation Management Center, Director of the Technology Research Center, and President of the Technology Research Institute, as well as Minister of the Safety Supervision Department, Minister of the Energy and Environmental Protection Department, and Vice President of Central China Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. of BAOWU Group; and from June 2018 to June 2020, he served on secondment as Deputy Director of the Economic and Information Technology Commission of Changshou District, Chongqing. Mr. Zhao graduated in 2003 from the Ironmaking major at Chongqing University of Science and Technology. In 2022, he obtained a Ph.D. in Engineering in the Metallurgical Engineering major from Chongqing University.

Li Haifeng, born in March 1976, is a senior engineer. Mr. Li graduated in 1999 from the Steel Metallurgy major in the School of Metallurgy and Materials Science at Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology; later, he obtained a Master’s degree in Engineering in the Metallurgy major from the School of Metallurgy and Materials Science at Wuhan University of Science and Technology. Mr. Li currently serves as the company’s Executive Vice President. He previously served as Party Secretary of the Manufacturing Management Department, Director of the Technology Center, Director of the Quality Inspection Center, and Secretary of the Science and Technology Association at Echeng Steel Co., Ltd. of BAOWU Group; the overall management and coordination representative stationed at Kunsteel (steel industry) of BAOWU; Director of the Operation Management Center, Director of the Technology Research Center, and President of the Technology Research Institute; Minister of the Safety Supervision Department and Minister of the Energy and Environmental Protection Department at Central China Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. of BAOWU Group; and held positions including Party Secretary and Minister (Director) of the Manufacturing Management Department (Technology Center, Testing Center), as well as other roles, and served as Executive Vice President of the company.
