According to CCTV Finance and Economics, during this year’s 2026 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference, in addition to showcasing various advanced technologies, multiple activities were also set up, providing a larger stage for the transformation and commercialization of cutting-edge technologies and for expanding the market. During this year’s Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference, the final round of the 9th Zhongguancun International Frontier Technology Competition was also held concurrently. At the competition site, 10 technology projects competed side by side, covering multiple fields including embodied intelligence, large language models, quantum computing, and innovative drugs.

Busy as well, just like the participating contestants, are the “blue-jacket” staff who have been moving around the Zhongguancun International Technology Trading Center these past two days. These staff wearing blue jackets are a newly added type of personnel for this year’s Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference—“technology managers.”

There are many professional users who not only want to purchase and experience our products as individuals; more often, they represent the companies behind them and the upstream and downstream development of the industrial chain.

Liu Qiang, Deputy General Manager of Beijing Zhongguancun Technology Service Co., Ltd.: This year we established a “blue-jacket” team of 100 people. We will conduct advance analysis, pre-matching, and pre-coordination. Then during the conference period, we carry out on-site matching, communication, and matchmaking work. Also, some tasks may need to further track the results and effectiveness of these project connections after the conference.

With the “blue-jackets” connecting the dots, hard technology takes root and gets implemented. Experts believe that in the future, in China’s landing and transformation of scientific and technological achievements “from 0 to 1,” we will still need more professional teams of technology managers who understand both technology and industry.
