On April 2, on-chain detective ZachXBT accused Circle of failing to take timely action during the Drift attack incident, stating that during U.S. trading hours, tens of millions of dollars worth of USDC were transferred from Solana to Ethereum via cross-chain protocols, “continuing for hours without intervention.” He also mentioned that the related funds had completed their transfer, and Circle “once again took no action.” Additionally, ZachXBT pointed out that Circle had previously mistakenly frozen over 16 business hot wallets, which are still being gradually unfrozen. ZachXBT further named Circle and its CEO Jeremy Allaire, claiming their actions have a negative impact on the industry.
