Market quick wins and fantasies shattered, South Korea and Japan stock markets plummeted in response

Mars Finance reports that on April 2, due to Trump’s failure to provide a clear ceasefire timeline in a nationwide address, the stock markets of Japan and South Korea plummeted. The Nikkei 225 index in Japan gave back its morning gains and is currently down 1.1%, at 53,151.80 points; the KOSPI index in South Korea fell sharply during the day, dropping 3.00% to 5,313.97 points. Trump’s remarks have dealt a cold shower to market hopes that the conflict with Iran would end quickly. Trump stated that the United States is about to achieve all military objectives and that in the next two or three weeks, it will launch extremely fierce strikes against Iran. (Jin10)
