A Delta Air Lines flight bound for Atlanta from São Paulo, carrying 272 passengers and 14 crew members, returned to Brazil shortly after takeoff due to a mechanical issue with its left engine. Footage showed flames and sparks emitting from the engine. The flight crew followed procedures to shut down the engine, and Delta is working to reaccommodate the affected customers.
