$$RIF in 24h jumped from 0.059 to 0.098, with $135 million in volume—this bullish candle slaps all the bears in the face. I didn’t move my 97% position; I’m continuing to lock it down.
Match against the data after the previous three halvings: In August 2016, RIF was still before its ICO, but the altcoin launch cycle after the BTC halving was at day 120–150; back then, RIF hadn’t listed yet. In May 2020, it was halved; RIF then listed in August the same year at 0.02, and by April 2021 it surged to 0.6, a 30x increase—the launch point was right on the halving’s day 90, when it broke out with heavy volume above 0.04.
Compare to now: after the 2024 April halving, at day 134, RIF started a volume expansion of 16% from the 0.08 area; trading value jumped from 20M on the prior day to 135M, a 7x increase—exactly the same as that iconic bullish candle in August 2020, when it was also followed by a flat consolidation for 2 weeks after a day gain of 18%, and then the main run.
Now look at the smaller cycle in June 2023: RIF went from 0.03 to 0.13 over 120 days, and there were 3 days with single-day 20% blowout volume in between. At the current level of 0.0813, which corresponds to day 130–150 after the halving in history, it’s a typical “post-washout confirmation” phase. After RIF broke above 0.1 in early 2021, it only pulled back 13% before rushing to 0.3. If this wave can hold above 0.085, the next resistance at 0.12 is basically a sure thing.
Trading suggestion: At the current price 0.0813, add 20% more; set a stop loss at 0.075 (the 0.618 retracement of the 0.059 to 0.098 move), first target 0.12, second target 0.18; keep position sizing below 50%. Wait for the pullback confirmation at the 0.078 support before adding again. Don’t be afraid to wait—RIF on-chain activity is even higher than in 2021; RIF wallet users increased by 400k over half a year.
History won’t simply repeat, but it will rhyme. Every time RIF has a big bullish candle after halving is the same script: first a heavy-volume breakout, then a 12-day washout, and finally an acceleration of 30–50%. I’ve marked this point for you—make your own call.
(Light a cigarette, stare at the buy order volume around 0.085—quite a few smart funds are positioning; if you know, you know.)
