AI infrastructure continues to upgrade, and storage chips are set for new opportunities

As global AI competition keeps intensifying, major tech companies continue to increase their data center construction investment, further boosting the importance of storage chips. Japan and South Korea chip stocks showed strong performance today, with SK hynix up more than 2%, reflecting the market’s renewed optimism about the development prospects of the AI infrastructure industry chain. Compared with traditional consumer electronics cycles, AI is creating a new long-term growth curve for the storage industry.
AI training and inference need to process massive amounts of data, placing higher demands on high-bandwidth, high-capacity storage. HBM has not only become an important partner for GPUs, but also a key link in improving overall AI server performance. As AI models continue to upgrade, the HBM capacity equipped with each new generation of GPUs may further increase, providing storage vendors with ongoing growth opportunities.
