12 million French households are in the sights of a wave of fraudulent SMS messages, linked to a tax refund of €262 or €219.


The official DGFIP schedule provides for two automatic transfers: on 24 July and on 31 July 2026, with the reference “REMB IMPOT REVENUS”.
Scammers latch onto this perfectly legitimate deadline, imitate the impots[.]gouv[.]fr website, and demand login details or a bank account (RIB).
A quick reminder that never hurts: the tax administration NEVER requests this information by SMS, email, or phone.
