Did nothing, just went to grab lunch. When I came back, I looked at the chart and the short-squeeze “answer” had already been written on the order book. After finishing lunch, when I checked the chart, that SUI spike looked lively, but in reality the follow-through was insufficient—sell orders kept getting pushed back. I saw the price fail to hold on the attempt to surge, and judged it to be more like a bull trap. So I followed the cue and tested a short at the high end, waiting for the price to choose its own direction.

The entry price was 1.0030. The current price dropped to 0.7434. The position is now realized at +1247.4%. This profit is taken so smoothly—the earlier waiting wasn’t for nothing.

For now, I’ll close 80%, keep the biggest portion in my pocket; the remaining 20% will continue to be observed. If the protection level moves back near the cost basis, and if it keeps selling off, I’ll let the profit run longer. If it bounces back to the protection level, I won’t get tangled up.

Don’t grind away your patience in a range, and don’t try to win back dignity in a one-way move. For tickets you’re not sure about, glance first to stay clear-headed—recklessly chasing in is just being foolish. If you haven’t participated yet, don’t rush in; wait for a new structure to form, and save the next shot for a more comfortable position.
