#TrumpAgreesToClarityEthicsClause

The CLARITY Act may have just reached its most important turning point.

After months of negotiations, the White House has reportedly reached an agreement on an ethics package that could remove the biggest obstacle preventing the CLARITY Act from advancing in the Senate. The compromise is expected to introduce restrictions on senior government officials—including the President, Vice President, and members of Congress—from personally benefiting from digital asset businesses while in office.

Ethics has been the center of the debate for months. Lawmakers raised concerns after President Trump's financial disclosures highlighted significant crypto-related earnings linked to his business interests. Those concerns delayed bipartisan support and became the primary hurdle standing in the way of the legislation.

With the ethics framework now reportedly agreed upon, the CLARITY Act has regained momentum. However, the path is not completely clear. Senate Democrats still need to review the final language, and the bill must secure enough support to move through the Senate before lawmakers leave for the August recess. The limited legislative calendar makes the coming days especially important.

For the crypto industry, the stakes extend far beyond politics. The CLARITY Act is designed to establish a clearer regulatory framework for digital assets in the United States, offering greater certainty for exchanges, investors, developers, and institutions. If the Senate approves the bill, it would mark one of the most significant regulatory milestones the U.S. crypto market has seen in years.

The negotiations may be nearing the finish line, but the Senate vote will ultimately determine whether this long-awaited legislation becomes law or remains another unfinished chapter in U.S. crypto policy.
