A worldview, values, and life philosophy are like three mirrors in life that reflect one another; together they build a person’s spiritual world map.
A worldview is the breadth with which you view the world. As the ancients said, "Read ten thousand books, travel ten thousand miles"—a person’s worldview is shaped by the books they’ve read, the roads they’ve walked, and the people they’ve met. It determines how you understand others, and how you view cause and effect and connections between things. Like a window, the broader your worldview, the richer and more three-dimensional the world in your eyes.
Values are the height from which you view reality. They determine the "what is important and what is minor" in your heart. They are the trade-offs of "unjustly getting rich and noble is nothing to me, like floating clouds," and the spirit of "how could I bow my eyebrows and lower my head to those in power?" Values are an inner measuring scale; in the face of a maze of complicated choices, it marks your direction, helping you know what is worth holding on to and what can be let go. After you truly recognize reality, it still lets you decide in what stance you will stand.
Life philosophy, then, is your attitude toward yourself. After experiencing the ways of the world and witnessing the whole variety of life, what you must finally answer is: "What do I want to do?" This is the ultimate question about the meaning of life. It is not wishful thinking—it is reflection on dreams and belonging, arising from the foundations of your worldview and values. Just as Qu Yuan wrote, "Road is long and I will seek up and down," this reflection gives life an active course to sail.

The three views are not isolated from one another. The worldview helps you "see clearly," the values help you "choose," and the life philosophy guides you to "become." When these three mirrors are clear and reflect one another, then a person can, amid this bustling world, remain unshaken by outside things, not be lost in their own heart, take steady steps, and keep their inner lamp burning bright.
