#SpaceXQuietPeriodEnds
Wall Street Loves SpaceX... But I'm Watching Expectations More Than Price Targets The quiet period is officially over, and the big investment banks have started revealing what they really think about SpaceX. Most of them are extremely bullish, with price targets suggesting significant upside from the IPO level.
Honestly, I'm not surprised.
SpaceX isn't just a space company anymore. It has exposure to launch services, satellite internet, defense technology, and AI infrastructure-four sectors that could shape the global economy over the next decade. Very few companies have that combination, which explains why institutional investors are paying such close attention. At the same time, I think it's important to separate a great business from a great investment.
Those aren't always the same thing.
After a highly anticipated IPO, expectations can become almost impossible to satisfy. Even if the company continues delivering strong growth, the stock can still struggle if investors were expecting perfection from day one. That's why I actually appreciate seeing a bearish opinion in the mix.
A sell rating doesn't necessarily mean the business is weak-it simply reminds us that valuation matters. As someone who follows both crypto and traditional markets, I find this fascinating. We're seeing capital flow into companies building the future, whether that's AI chips, blockchain infrastructure, or commercial space exploration.
Investors aren't just buying today's earnings-they're trying to price in what the world could look like five or ten years from now.
Personally, I'm still bullish on the long-term innovation story surrounding SpaceX. But I also think patience is underrated. Chasing excitement after a flood of bullish headlines has rarely been my favorite strategy. Sometimes the best opportunities come after the hype settles and expectations become more realistic.
The company may have incredible potential, but the market will still judge it one quarter at a time.
Do you think SpaceX can justify the sky-high expectations over the next few years, or has Wall Street already priced in too much future success?
