#MyGateTradeStory
My first trade was ETH. I remember that day — the market was showing UP everywhere, everyone's charts had Bitcoin and Ethereum climbing, FOMO was fogging my vision. I thought: "I shouldn't miss this train — if I don't get in now, I'll never get another chance."
I had no experience, no strategy, and the concept of risk management was far beyond my understanding. Just one impulsive feeling: BUY NOW.
I took ETH on leverage — because spot gives less profit, leverage will double or triple it, I thought.
The first few minutes… green numbers. My heart was happy. "I made the right decision!" I told myself.
Then… the market did what it always does — it doesn't decide based on what you want. It runs on its own rules.
---
**The Fall: ETH and Account Wash**
ETH's price suddenly dipped. Little by little, then fast — those green numbers turned red. My leveraged position drifted into loss. Panic started. I thought: "I should hold, it will recover…" Then the market dipped further. Loss grew bigger.
I had not set a stop loss. Because I thought the market would recover. But the market didn't recover — at least not before my margin wiped out completely.
**Account wash.**
Every amount zero. Zero balance. Zero position. Zero hope.
That feeling… it cannot be described. It felt like my money, my energy, my confidence — everything vanished in one moment. My account showed a blank screen. A blank screen that was proof of my mistakes.
---
**The Lesson: When You Fall, It's Time to Learn**
For weeks I didn't open the trading app. Anger, disappointment, regret — all mixed together. But then one day I thought: "If I don't learn from this experience, then this loss is truly a waste."
I started — reading, watching, analyzing. YouTube videos, trading blogs, risk management guides. I read everything I had previously ignored:
**Stop Loss:** My first trade had no stop loss. That was my biggest mistake. Now every trade has a stop loss set — manual or mental, both. The market's direction is not my direction, so protection is essential.
**Position Sizing:** Before, I put the whole account into one trade. Now I only risk 2-5% per trade. One trade cannot wipe my whole account — because my account is diversified.
**Leverage Caution:** Leverage magnifies profit — but loss too. My first trade was a victim of leverage. Now I use leverage cautiously, only where my analysis is strong and risk is calculated.
**Emotional Discipline:** FOMO was my first enemy. Now I enter trades only after making a trading plan. If there's no plan, there's no trade. Emotions don't drive any of my strategy decisions.
---
**Now: 2 in 1's Trading Philosophy**
Today, under the name **2 in 1**, my trading philosophy is simple:
1. **Plan First, Trade Second** — Before every trade, entry, exit, stop loss, and risk-reward ratio must be written down.
2. **Protect Capital Above All** — Profit comes if capital is safe. Capital protection is my priority #1.
3. **Learn From Every Trade** — Win or lose, there's something to learn from every trade. Journaling is my daily habit.
4. **Patience Over Speed** — The one who rushes in the market loses. The patient trader survives.
5. **Community Matters** — Interacting with Gate Square's community tripled my learning speed. Learning from other traders' experiences — that's a real edge.
---
**Gate: The Platform of My Journey**
Everything happened on Gate — my first trade, my first loss, my recovery, my learning. Gate supported me at every stage of my journey:
- **Spot Trading** — Now I do solid spot trading, no liquidation risk.
- **Gate Square** — Community insights, discussions, real-time sentiment improved my decision-making.
- **Risk Management Tools** — Stop loss, take profit, position sizing tools that make my strategy systematic.
- **Learning Resources** — Gate Research reports, market analysis, educational content deepened my understanding.
---
**My Message: For New Traders**
If you are a new trader, this is my advice:
- **Start small.** Don't experiment with big real money — practice with small amounts first.
- **Set stop loss ALWAYS.** This is my most important lesson.
- **Don't chase green candles.** FOMO was my first mistake, maybe yours too. Resist it.
- **Learn before you earn.** Trading knowledge is more valuable than capital.
- **Join the community.** On Gate Square, read posts that include real experiences from real traders. Isolation was my mistake.

**Final Words**
My name is **2 in 1** — a name that represents two lessons: the first from loss, the second from recovery. My ETH account wash was my most costly lesson, but also my most valuable one.
Today my account is not washed — my capital is protected, my strategy is tested, and my mindset is disciplined.
This is my — from something to zero, and from zero to controlled.
Trading is my passion and my profession. But above all — it is my learning journey that continue.
