ZetaChain pauses cross-chain transfers after GatewayEVM contract attack
ZetaChain paused mainnet cross-chain transactions after identifying an attack on its GatewayEVM contract, with DefiLlama data showing $300,000 lost. The team said the incident affected only internal team wallets and that no user funds were impacted. ZetaChain’s status page showed cross-chain transactions were still paused as of 9:00 p.m. ET on Monday, and the team said it will release a detailed post-mortem.
