Recently, we've received numerous inquiries regarding the profit-sharing rules for traders leading copy trading. We're providing this explanation to clarify the details.
Gate traders can directly earn a percentage of their followers' profits as a share of the earnings.
Below is a detailed overview of the profit-sharing rules.
Profit-Sharing Calculation and Distribution Process
1. Pending Profit-Sharing Calculation: Trigger Conditions
When the leader requests profit-sharing: The calculation is triggered when the leader initiates a profit-sharing withdrawal.
When a follower stops copying: Profit-sharing is automatically calculated when a follower terminates their copy trading activity.
Scheduled calculation: Every 7 days, the follower’s account automatically undergoes a profit-sharing calculation. If the follower has active orders, open positions, unrealized P&L, negative available balance, or the leader is not actively leading, the calculation will not proceed. However, the system will check every 10 minutes. Once the follower has no active orders, no open positions, no unrealized P&L, a positive available balance, and the leader is actively leading, the system will archive the pending profit-sharing data and update the follower’s next profit-sharing calculation time (7 days later).
2. Profit-Sharing Distribution: Steps for Distribution
Automatic distribution: The automatic distribution process runs daily at 01:45 UTC, disbursing profit-sharing amounts to traders based on statistics gathered before 00:00 UTC.
Manual distribution: Profit-sharing can also be distributed manually via a dedicated interface to handle special or urgent situations.
3. Profit-Sharing Transferred
Once the transfer is completed, traders will receive their profit-sharing payments, marking the end of the process.
