Objective
This guide will walk you through how to subscribe to and purchase NFT mystery boxes during launch events on Gate Web.
Steps
Step 1: Access the NFT Drops Page
- Navigate to the NFT homepage on Gate.
- Click "Drops" to enter the Drops page, or scroll down to view the Hot Drops section directly.
Step 2: Browse Available Mystery Box Projects
- In the Hot Drops section, click the browse button to view active subscription projects.
- Alternatively, find live subscriptions on the Gate NFT Launchpad page and click on the project you're interested in to participate.
Step 3: Set Reminders for Upcoming Drops (Optional)
- View the Upcoming section to see mystery box projects that are about to launch.
- To set a reminder:
- Click the calendar button on the project card
- Select the calendar application where you want to add the reminder
- You will receive a notification before the project begins
Step 4: Enter the Project Details Page
On the collection display page of your chosen project, click "Buy Primary Sale" to access the asset details page.
Step 5: Complete the Purchase
- Click the "Purchase" button.
- Confirm by clicking "Are you sure to purchase".
- Enter your fund password to complete the transaction.
Step 6: View and Manage Your Mystery Box
- Navigate to the My Assets page to view your purchased mystery box.
- Choose to either:
- Unpack it immediately to reveal the NFT inside
- Add it to your collection for later

- NFT mystery boxes on Gate are categorized into five rarity grades: Normal (N), Rare (R), Super Rare (SR), Super-Super Rare (SSR), and Special Points (SP).
- Mystery boxes that have been sold out cannot be returned or refunded.
- Once purchased, you can only sell the unopened box or open it and sell the NFT inside.
- Each mystery box contains a randomly assigned NFT that is revealed only when opened.
- Product features, interfaces, rules, and fee structures may be updated at any time. Please refer to the latest announcements on the Gate platform.

Q1: What happens after I purchase a mystery box?
A: After purchase, the mystery box will appear in your My Assets page. You can choose to open it immediately to reveal the NFT inside, or keep it unopened in your collection. You also have the option to sell the unopened box on the secondary market.
Q2: Can I return or refund a mystery box after purchase?
A: No, mystery boxes that have been sold out cannot be returned or refunded. Your only options are to keep it, open it to obtain the NFT inside, or sell the unopened box on the marketplace.
Q3: How do I know the rarity of the NFT inside my mystery box?
A: The rarity and specific NFT assigned to each mystery box is randomly determined and will only be revealed when you open the box. Mystery boxes are categorized into five rarity grades (N, R, SR, SSR, SP), but the exact contents remain unknown until opened.
Q4: What should I do if I miss a mystery box launch?
A: You can set calendar reminders for upcoming drops to ensure you don't miss the launch time. Additionally, you may be able to purchase unopened mystery boxes from other users on the secondary marketplace after the initial sale ends.
